Criteria for swimmers

1. Adaptation
This phase is based on practices for getting used to water. Candidates who can do 6 type of practices in water are considered ‘passed’ from this level and at the same time.

1.1. Beginner Level I
Nemo I
Swimmers who completed adaptation process successfully, gain the right to obtain a certificate of success for Beginner Level 1 provided that they can perform 8 types of practices including keeping afloating on the water surface, and moving comfortably in water. At the same time, they gain the right to move into Beginner Level 2.

1.2. Beginner Level II
Nemo II
At Beginner Level II phase, where trainees who completed Beginner Level I can join, swimmers practice five drills consisting of three different leg-and-foot moving exercises, performance skills, performance under water, and swimming by performing leg-and-foot moving exercises for 25 metres in the form of required skill type. Swimmers performing successfully at this stage are considered eligible to move into Beginner Level III.

1.3. Beginner Level III
Nemo III
Trainees who complete Beginner Level II can attend to this level which is the most important one and includes 18 different drills. Trainees who become successful in completing all drills are entitled to be awarded with certificate of Beginner Level 3.

1.3.1. Intermediate and Advanced Candidate swimmer program (age 14)
This is a program put into practice for candidates who wish to attend the swimming team of NEU. Candidate Trainee Program
This level includes swimmers who were able to obtain certificate of Beginner Level 3. Trainees reaching to this level are trained through Candidate Trainee Program. Candidate trainees are offered 50% discount on condition that they continue to the program for 6 months, and awarded with the right to enter the competition for selecting performer swimmers. Advanced I Performance I
This program is offered to performance swimmers who completed the 6-month Intermediate program and were able to successfully achieve the criteria of NEU Swimming Branch. These swimmers can participate in competitions and are entitled to have 75% discount. Trainings are carried out 3 days a week, 2 hours each lesson. Advanced II Performans II
Trainees who were successfully passed the requirements of Advanced I Performance I can continue to this program. Trainees who were able to achieve this level continue to programs free of charge. Trainings are carried out 4 days a week, 2 hours each lesson. Advanced III Performance III
This program consists of swimmers who were able to obtain degrees in Summer and Winter championships in Turkey, and sportsman students who were awarded with the right to study at the Near East College and at the Elementary School. Trainings are carried out 6 days a week, 2 hours each lesson.

1.3.2. Technical Training Course Program
Swimmers who wish to develop their technical skills have to attend to technical training program. Free-swimming technique Backstroke swimming technique Butterfly swimming technique Breaststroke swimming technique
