Within the principles of Rauf Raif Denktaş Centre of Near East University, the studies of the centre have been carried out so as to be realized on international platforms.

The works at the Department of Scientific Studies, Department of Documentation and Department of International Relations which are carried out for the creation of the Rauf Raif Denktaş Centre, are being coordinated at the General Secretariat of the Institution.

In this context;
1. Department of Scientific Studies (DSS) of Rauf Raif Denktaş Centre, is accessible to all scientific and academic institutions that will contribute to History Research Centre. The teamwork and individual studies within the surrounding of Department of Scientific Studies will be evaluated at the conferences and symposiums.

The main aim of DSS is to have a perspective, focusing on venerable historical witness of Rauf Raif Denktaş, the Founding President of TRNC within research aspect of the History of the Near East Region and the History of Turkey and the Turkish Cypriot community.

The publications of the DSS is both independent edition and issuable on the Journal of the Social Sciences of the Near East University.

2. Department of Documentation (DD) of Rauf Raif Denktaş Centre is responsible from process of Archive and Information-Document required by the method according to the principles of scientific history. Such studies are required to be carried out under the topics of ‘accumulation’ and ‘classification’. However, the classification will be processed gradually while the duration of the accumulation process.

As the scope of the historical researches of Rauf Raif Denktaş, the Founding President of TRNC, the archives of Denktaş will be taken as a base.

It should be mentioned that there are secure places for the protection of the existing accumulation and archives with a highest technology.

DD is working on a common basis with other Department of Centres for the studies of Cyprus and other international countries.

The archive studies have a long-term projection with the contributions by the education members of History, Literature, Linguistic-Philology, Transcription and Communication Departments of the Near East University.

3. Department of International Relations (DIR) of Rauf Raif Denktas Centre is available to all international platforms through TTM path with the suggestion of US therefore with the delegation of the US with the resources provided by Foundation of the Near East University.

In accordance with the general structure of the Institute and particularly on this subject, research and the process of institutionalization of relations which is still in progress more than a year should be recorded.

On the subjects of the International congress-symposium-conferences of the Near East University, evaluation process of keeping the contacts alive for people who attend to approximately 30 events from 65 countries is made.

4. Particularly in short;

The basic principles which are still in progress at Rauf Raif Denktaş Centre as written as below:

(a) To carry out historical investigations until the past of the relevant events cleared out and evaluate the process in all aspects including today and future.

(b) To make assessment on the dynamics of historical relations between the Near East Region, and Turkey-Cyprus.

(c) To carry out concrete historical investigations related to the life and death struggle of Turkish Cypriots and the role of Rauf Raif Denktas in this struggle.

(d) Within the fundamental objectives of the center, to protect the recorded archive in full through accumulation and classification methods and to make it accessible for comparative method perspective including scientific studies and benchmarking.

(e) To have seriousness in archive studies that match with national goals and characteristic with appropriate approach and behavior.
